A recent pilot study of 154 people using the TQ indicates the No. 1 preference in the workforce is as follows:

• 83% chose project work as their No. 1 preference
• 8% chose trouble-shooting work as their No. 1 preference
• 9% chose routine work as their No. 1 preference

Since the No. 1 choice of all behavioral styles is project work, it is evident that the approach to delegating or assigning job responsibilities needs to be done in a particular fashion. The big picture needs to be explained first, followed by the specific steps necessary to achieve the desired result.
